DAY 2

The holidays are all about being grateful for life’s abundance of gifts, miracles, etc, etc. This season I’m utterly thankful for the wonder of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. JGL has always been the quirky boy of my dreams—even during his awkward 3rd Rock from the Sun days—and it appears as though he has undergone a transformation of sorts. From playing a hopelessly romantic hipster in 500 Days of Summer to a smooth criminal in Inception, JGL has transformed intro a truly versatile performer. 

Quite surprisingly, this versatility has translated into his looks as well. Normally, I’m all for the full-fledged, cave-man type of beard. However, JGL is certainly rocking this disheveled pirate look and even though it may have been a precursor to the nasty, greasy beard and hair combo JGL was required to have for the bizarre loner character Hesher, I’m a complete proponent for any sort of JGL facial hair.
